
Once you arrive on Catalina, getting around is easy. Avalon is easily accessible by foot. You can stroll along the streets while enjoying the sights and sounds.
In Avalon, most residents prefer to get around by golf cart. You can rent one on an hourly or daily basis. There is also an Avalon trolley operated by Catalina Transportation. The trolley circles around Avalon twice an hour. One ride and all day fares are also available. You can take a taxi from the Catalina Island ferry terminal. There is also the taxi stand on the corner of Crescent Avenue and Metropole Avenue, that goes to all areas of Avalon.
Offering free shuttle transportation to Descanso Beach in the summer months, the Catalina Island Company also includes a stop at the Catalina Casino, on a regular daily basis.
The Catalina Safari Bus is an easy way for visitors to get around Catalina Island. Passengers are allotted 1 lap item per trip and up to 2 more at $3 a piece on the Safari Bus.
