You’ll find some of the best cocktails in town at The Lobster Trap, and delicious handheld variety dishes.
The portions served are enormous, and most of them are at single-digit prices. Serving Buffalo wings, coconut shrimp, crab cakes, fried calamari, Littleneck clams, Mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers and monkey balls, ahi-stuffed mushroom tempura.
The chowder is delicious and can be had in a bread bowl. There is also a soup of the day. sashimi, shrimp cocktail, oysters Rockefeller and on the half-shell, as well as smoked albacore and salmon.
Salads with crab or lobster or salmon are entrée-size.
The specialty of the house however is the house-made tacos. Choose fried fish, fried shrimp, coconut shrimp, fried chicken, grilled steak, sea bass, mahimahi, yellowtail, grilled swordfish, lobster and more.
They have an enviable wine list, too.
During the daily Happy Hour (2-4 p.m.), Los Coast Brewery drafts are priced at $2 a pop (so you won’t feel so bad spending $7 on that shot).
